Join in an intensive six-week course as we delve into the extraordinary document, The Gospel of the Beloved Companion, examining firstly its stormy and at times bloody history, and then the profound but controversial teachings contained within its pages.
What was it about this manuscript and its teachings that so threatened the Roman church that, in the 13th century, it launched a genocidal campaign of persecution against the innocent population of southwestern France, and anywhere else in Europe where the influence of this Gospel appeared? Why was its author seen as such a profound threat to the establishment of orthodox Christianity that she had to be hidden for almost twenty centuries under a Church promoted deluge of lies and deceit?
The Gospel contains one of the most complete and profound pathways found in western spiritual literature to what has been called the "Kingdom of God" by some, "Enlightenment" or "Consciousness" by others. The author of the original manuscript reaches out to us from over two millennia ago, leading the reader, step by step and in simple language, through each stage of the journey until reaching the final treasure that lies at the crown of the Tree of Life.
